The Haku Lei is very hearty. When your Haku Lei arrives, gently unpack it and spray it with a little water. Then place it in a plastic bag or container and put it in the refrigerator (NOT the freezer) until just before it is needed. Keep it out of the sun as much as possible. Once it is placed on the recipient (along with the requisite congratulations and kiss) it will last up to 24 hours. Haku Leis can be dried and kept as a keepsake for many months. To dry your Haku, either hang it or place it in a dry area (indoors) until dry, a week or two. Leis are meant to be given in the spirit of love and truly enjoyed while they last.
